To the Editor:Re “The Air Will Be a Bit Less Sweet” (Arts pages, Oct. 18):It’s rare in today’s world to come across a being with the inquisitiveness and humble kindness found in Big Bird of “Sesame Street.”With a chance meeting at breakfast in the Bahamas, I can confirm that Caroll Spinney, who played the role for almost 50 years, embodies just as much of the true nature of Big Bird as anyone with exposure to the show would expect.
